Honoring Veterans

To honor Veterans Day, the First Lady attended a ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery. For the ceremony, Mrs. O wore a black wool Burberry coat with double-breasted closure paired with knee-high black boots.

On Thursday, the First Lady gave the keynote address to attendees of the Disney Veterans Institute jobs forum in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. For the event, Mrs. O wore a black short sleeve dress with pink detailing at the neckline. This dress looks familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Does anyone recall where we've seen it before?

Update: Thanks to reader Parker, who found the dress: Narciso Rodriguez from 2009 and 2010, here.

You can't go wrong with a classic double breasted coat but I really like the dress she wore on Thursday. The pop of color is the perfect way to elevate a little black dress.

I like Mrs O in coats. Reminds me of Duchess of Cambridge's coat collection.

I believe the second dress may be the Narciso Rodriguez worn for the 2009 Vogue shoot (and then maybe again for a Larry King appearance?). Love both looks, especially the coat.

Mrs. Obama's hair is beautiful in the picture with the coat. The coat is pretty as well. Her smile completes the total package!

Wow, that was fast Parker! To me, the link to the Narciso Rodriguez dress on Larry King emphasizes how much softer and prettier Mrs. O's hair looks now.

I love the coat. The black dress with the "pop-of-pink" was perfect for Disney Veterans Institute Jobs Forum.
Kudos to Parker for the 2010 link!

Lovely coat and boots. Such a classic style and cut. Elegant in its simplicity 😊

She's so absolutely and completely lovely--
Try as she may to take the focus off what she's wearing by repeating her clothes again and again -- and stepping out in understated monochromatic black--
Mrs Obama still effortlessly shines, intrigues and thrills--

To not just be able to wear a dress almost five years later and still fit beautifully into it, but to also make that dress look completely different and even fresher after all those years later, is amazing---
She continues to make the best argument for investing in quality pieces-- And in wearing her repeats years later, she compliments the designer -- and continues to make quiet statements about the talents and staying power of these designers and their pieces---

I love, love the coat! One word always comes to my mind whenever I see Mrs O, "elegance." I'm so proud to call her my First Lady.

She looks absolutely gorgeous. I adore her longer wavy hair. Would love to get a tutorial.

Whether it’s outerwear, fall/winter, Mrs. O chooses most of her styles to fit her figure. E.g. look at the defining waistline in this coat. Clean lines “warm and fashionable” Who wants to wear a loose or unflattering coat. Sometimes we look for coats with the weather in mind. As a public figure and being photography constantly….wearing a fashionable coat that’s great for day to evening wear is absolutely fantastic.

Also I love the coat/dress (turtleneck ads a special touch). Luxurious elegance continues all the way down to the tapered look with the knee high boots – very “instyle” very firstladyish!!!!!.........Just adorable.
