Happy, happy birthday, on this occasion of your first half-century! What a great-looking cover girl!! God bless you with many more birthdays! Yes, it is good to be alive; there is something greater than we all are, and it is good to be alive. Each and every one of us are part of that great oneness.

Happy belated Mrs Obama I still can't believe that you half centuary old wow! I wish you abundant blessings and that you and your husband continue to bless our lives being the role models that you are. I am half your age, but I wish I looked like you, hope you enjoyed your day! Much love from South Afrrica! Wish your family could remain as the first family for life but all good things come to an end. It is a pity but for the years you spent with us I am greatful, thank you!

A partial guest list was published online, it was truly a star-studded affair. Beyonce performed and posted a few pictures on her Tumblr. FLOTUS is truly leading a charmed life.

Mrs. O - Your birthday is a time for celebrating “you” for appreciating all the many many ways you're special……for knowing that the world is an infinitely better place because you're in it “because you're being you”. Your childhood picture in the yellow outfit and huge bought is just the best.

Happy birthday to the First Lady, hope her special birthday was everything she hoped for and more. We hear she's going to be a guest on Jimmy Fallon's the Tonight Show. There's already talk of her reprising her mum dance. Madam First Lady, please no more dancing and goofing around. You are much more, and much better than this. Mum dance on network television is a novelty the first time, a second time is a mistake. Mr President, time to be a present husband. Your wife is in crisis and needs you more than whatever it is you're preoccupied with. You can't solve all of the country's centuries old problems, but what you can and should be, is a present and dedicated husband for the mother of your children.

While I appreciate Mrs. O's charm, I would disagree with her "charmed life" as an accurate descriptor. She is a brave woman that has taken chances and worked very hard to make sure everyday counts including the program for mentoring young adults in White House regular meetings, as well as her downtime with family in Hawaii over the holidays. She has created the success and balance around her and her family, while not allowing those that are critical for no constructive reason sway her from her resolve to be all that she can be. I realize you will not publish this because sadly, Mrs-O.com is about adulation of a superficial and fluffy sort, but perhaps you will think about it for yourself. You are doing a singularly compassionate and effective role model an injustice by only publishing the ooo and ahhh comments.
Respectfully,

@Gus A gentle reminder that this is a fashion blog. Could it be that you are in a crisis?

I discovered this website about 10 months and have spent time going backwards as well as staying current to see all that I have missed in the world of Mrs. Obama Fashion. What is so wonderful, to me, is not only her choice of clothing, but her demeanor in those clothes. I agree with all those who feel so proud of her as a representative of the United States, and also as an inspiring figure to young girls and grown women as well - including those like me who older than she. I think Mrs.T has done a fantastic job, and I especially love learning the details of her dresses, jewelry, shoes, etc. I've learned a lot and continue to learn, and have incorporated a few of Mrs. O's choices into my own wardrobe - bottom line to have FUN - so thank you all, Happy Belated Birthday Michelle Obama, and may this website in 2014 be bubbling with the fashion and appearances of our First Lady!
